Photo of Whitehaven Home Guard soldier (youtube video)

Postby kerchi » Sun Nov 17, 2013 1:20 am

Here is a short video showing a photo of a Keekle (near Whitehaven) Home Guard soldier affiliated to the Border Regiment (the Border Regiment cap shown in the photo of the soldier); there is also a photo of tower made of scaffolding. Does anyone know what this tower was? Will be interesting to find out if anyone has any further info.

The two photos (according to the youtube videographer) got the photos from the son of the soldier in the photo.

In memory of John Bardgett (15309 L/Cpl.), 11th Border Regiment who died 1st July 1916.
