Postby CockneyTone » Fri Sep 28, 2012 8:54 am

Borderites!

I am off to the Western Front for a couple of days, visiting Flesquires (Cambrai) Wancourt (SW of Arras) and the Somme, if anybody requires photos of individual graves etc please post and I will see what I can do to obtain them, however please understand that I cannot promise to get them as I am gong with a couple of mates and we have a very changeable itinarary!

Mike,

the area I pass through has literally 100's of British Cemeteries, it may be easier if you have any wants to post them and I can let you know if I can reach any for you?

Hi Scottie,

Good to hear from you again. Hope you have a great trip :-)

Any photos of any Border Regiment soldier's headstone is useful to me as my long-term project is to have a remembrance page for every Border Regiment solider who died during the war and as you know that is a lot of men and a lot of photos :eeek:
In memory of John Bardgett (15309 L/Cpl.), 11th Border Regiment who died 1st July 1916.

Mike,

should be able to visit the two at the Pozieires Memorial as its just down the road from the B & B, also may be near the London Cemetery at Neuville Vitasse.

Chris,
I will photograph any other Border Boys that I come across!

Regards and best wishes,
Laters, Scottie.
