Here’s a transcript from an interesting document I’ve found dating from dating from about 1900 regarding movements of regiments in the Victorian period:

2nd Bn The Border Regiment

From: Dover, to: Newry. Embarked 30th December 1881, disembarked 3rd January 1882.
From: Newry, to: Dublin. Embarked 22nd July, disembarked 22nd July 1884.
From: Dublin, to: Galway. Embarked 1st June, disembarked 1st June 1886.
From: Galway, to: Guernsey. Embarked 23rd August February, disembarked 26th August 1887.
From: Guernsey, to: Portsmouth. Embarked 16th April, disembarked 18th April 1888.
From: Portsmouth, to: Malta. Embarked 2nd November, disembarked 13th November 1888.
From: Malta, to: Bombay. Embarked 21st February, disembarked 10 March 1890.
