I always enjoy looking at images relating to the 34th or 55th Regiments. Not my preferred era either but a great image all the same. I particularly like the way the soldiers are all standing to attention while in the distance you can see the embarkation taking place. The guys at the back will have to wait a while before their turn. I wonder what the officer in the middle front facing the viewer was saying.
In memory of John Bardgett (15309 L/Cpl.), 11th Border Regiment who died 1st July 1916.
