34th change to Border Regiment - Soldiers service Number

Postby hussar1000 » Sat Nov 05, 2016 2:21 pm

Do any of you know of a resource that may show any service number changes made when the 34th became the 1st Bn Border Regiment? I am trying to establish whether Cpl 666 Wood(s) is the same man as 2110 C/Sgt Woods.

Hope someone can help.

Again, I emailed the museum and no response.

I have finally found his service papers and can confirm they are one and the same. But still confused about his 666 service number. Not mentioned on his papers but is the number on the medal roll.

Any ideas?
