1918 – The Hindenburg Line

The 7th Border were at Lechelle on 17th September 1918, planning an attack on Gauche Wood for the 18th September.

This fighting turned out to be severe, costing the battalion 27 killed, 232 wounded and 33 missing, including Captain William Constantine.

Whilst searching for information I came across another Memorial to William Constantine

Holy Trinity Boys School Roll Of Honour
He is 4th Picture down on this site

Sharon is looking into Manchester University ROH and other items which she has said she will pass on to
me - I'll post them whem they arrive....
