Hi All

Feeling a bit shocked! Just read this news title
"Bronze soldier statue on top of First World War memorial is stolen for scrap metal"
Where has respect gone?

Yep Its fact I'm afraid, As a Kendal Town Councillor I was part of a sub committee in 2011 appointed to protect the town's war memorial from metal thieves . There is a clear invisible fluid which you can paint onto the plaques/statues etc which shows up under special lighting scrutiny, but if it's a dodgy scrap dealer I doubt if it'd prevent the items getting melted down,
