Kendal WW1 centenary play

Postby plbramham » Thu Mar 20, 2014 3:02 pm

Thought this may be of interest from todays Westmorland Gazette. I am also collaborating with the school to produce a WW1 centenary exhibition in Kendal Town Hall and Kendal Museum, Paul
(All three men were 8th Bn Border Regiment)

Ah, but are you going as WW1 1st Bn Gallipoli (pith helmet etc?) , or France?
It can get confusing!
I know you do the WW2 home guard uniform representation at Kendal events - excellent!
Best Wishes Paul.
(Just to confuse it more - 1st Bn were in India at the outbreak of WW1 ! Would they still be wearing the scarlet dress tunics there? Guess you have a challenge with defining a specific 1st Bn WW1 uniform, maybe just a generic one for a particular time/place , Sorry! Paul)
