Second Lieutenant Frederick Albert RUPP
11th Border Regiment
6th Border Regiment attached to the 11th Border Regiment
Killed in action : 01/07/1916
Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial
Panel reference : Pier and Face 6A and 7C
Image
Age 23. Son of Frederick Michael and Barbara Rupp,
of 4, St Bedes, East Boldon, County Durham.
Former pupil of Durham University, attended the
University's Officer Training Corps whilst at Armstrong College.
Enlisted in 10th Border as a Second Lieutenant in 1914.
Posted to 6th Border, he served at Gallipoli and was wounded
twice in 1915.He was posted to France on recovery attached 11th Border 1916.

Cumberland. Enlisted 3rd November 1914 in D Company.
