Hi folks,

I received an email from a concerned citizen that mentioned stolen medals of the Border Regiment. The body of the message was:

"There a post on Facebook featuring a France Germany Campaign Medal (WWII) and a cap badge which appears to be Border Regiment of the same era, the post says they were recovered in Bolton and are believed to be the proceeds of a burglary. I was wondering if any of your members of contacts know of any one losing them."

I said I would post this on the forum to see if anyone knows anything about these medals and if they can be returned to their owner.

The address to the Bolton news article is: http://theboltonnews.co.uk/news/14168844.Stolen_war_medals_recovered_by_police___do_you_know_whose_they_are_/

Thanks :-)

To be honest, a standard Border Regiment cap badge and a WW2 France and Germany star ( as usual ,un-named, thus attributable, and cannot be traced) are of very little value.
Sounds harsh, but that's the fact I'm afraid,
