British Pathe has a web site where you can view short previews of some of their news reels. There are a few containing shots of the Border Regiment. Enter the name in the search field  to list and play them.

A couple of the newsreels on the site are of the Trooping the French Drums. They are dated 1932 and 1934, the former identified as being at Bordon Camp. From the background buildings it looks like the 1934 trooping was also at Bordon.

A fine body of men! You can understand their wide smiles being on leave for Christmas. I find the boy at the beginning really puts a lot of effort into his waves 20 seconds in and then the icing on the cake he blows a couple of kisses. The energetic waves from the relatives were certainly staged but the blown kisses looked ad-libbed to me and just for the camera! A budding actor actor maybe.

Great little film. Shame there aren't many Border Regiment films on there.
In memory of John Bardgett (15309 L/Cpl.), 11th Border Regiment who died 1st July 1916.
