He's not on CWGC so he must have survived. ( I also checked for the spelling "Irvine" but again no matches)
Perhaps he is in Colin Bardgett's Book "The Lonsdale Battalion 1914-18" as I seem to remember that there a long list of names and details at the back of that? That might just be for casualties though - it's a while since I read a borrowed copy - they are pretty rare and hard to get hold of these days. (It was a very limited print run)
Perhaps Spike will be able to help?, (or else it may be a case of waiting for the long-anticipated Lonsdales book to be written and published by the museum!)
Paul.

202978 Is the number on his medals, I think he was transferred to the 5th battalion!
If he was in A Company when would have he shipped out?

Ben,

By "shipped out"- do you mean
went Overseas-the 11th Border travelled from Folkestone - Boulogne 23rd November 1915 and moved gradually to the Authuille area by the 12th December 1915.

If you mean transferred to another battalion- you need his Service Record if it survived
to trace his service numbers issued, transfers, medical record of wounds etc
