WORKINGTONIANS KILLED

Sergt. Robt. (Roy) Walker, Lonsdales, son of Mr. Walker, plumber, Washington Street, Workington, is now officially reported to have been killed on November 18th 1916. He was previously reported as “missing”. As a Rugby Union footballer and cricketer and a member of Workington Presbyterian Church choir, he had hosts of friends.

Pvt. Lawrence (Frank) Murphy (20), son of Mr. and Mrs. James Murphy, 4 Norman Terrace, Workington, who has been officially listed as missing since July 1st 1916, is now presumed to have been killed on that date.
