The following pictures are from the Mid Cumberland and Westmorland Herald Roll of Honour.
The archive is on microfilm at Penrith Library and these men are from the 1916 roll of film

William Atkinson was killed in action 1st July 1916 and is buried in Lonsdale Cemetery, Authuille.

17536 Private Leonard Davies

]Leonard Davies  was transferred to the 8th Battalion Border Regiment
and died of wounds in hospital at Rouen on 21st July 1916, aged 18.
He is buried in St Sever Cemetery, Rouen, grave reference-
A.36.1.[/i]Son of Charles and John and Charlotte Davies, of 21,
Springfield Place, Guiseley, Leeds. Native of Kirkby Stephen, Westmorland.

John Donaldson was killed in action July 1st 1916 and is buried in Lonsdale Cemetery Authuille,
grave ref-VI.X.1.

John Donalson is also commemorated on a family grave in Penrith Cemetery

Son of John William and Emma Graham, of Sandford, Warcop, Penrith.
