Marriage of a Distington Man

On Saturday a pretty and interesting wedding was solemnized at the Crosscanonby Parish Church. The vicar (Rev. W. J. MARSH) officiated, and the contracting parties were Miss. Jane GRAHAM, youngest daughter of Mr. Robert GRAHAM, Crosby Villa, and Sergeant Thomas TAYLOR, of the 1st Border Regiment, third son of Mrs. Thomas TAYLOR, Distington. The bridegroom only lately arrived with his regiment from the front.

The bride looked charming in a dress of blue frieze cloth, trimmed with lace and chiffon, and black chiffon hat, with ostrich feathers, brought by the bridegroom from South Africa. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Robert PATTERSON.The bridesmaid was Miss. Sarah TAYLOR, and the best man was Mr. William TAYLOR, brother and sister of the bridegroom.

The wedding breakfast was partaken of at the residence of  Mr. Robert PATTERSON, Crosby Villa, where a large number of guests assembled. The bride was the recipient of a large number of handsome presents.
