Messing around with Movie maker

Postby spike » Tue Aug 13, 2013 1:06 pm

A few years back I was messing around with Windows Movie Maker, using WW1 footage with a soundtrack.

Just for the forum, this is the result....Roses of Picardy :geek:

Worked this time, thanks. Nice little video, plans to do any more?

This is the kind of project I would like to do......all I need is the footage, the software and the time :-\

Movie Maker is free and easy to use, if a little erratic to save.
It took me 10 mins to make this (i finally found my video files inc the 'Roses' one)

and about 1 hour and 3 attempts to save it in a format that would play

The Tanks that Broke The Ranks

It might take a while to load....
or on myspace

I have used movie software before mainly for editing a couple of holidays I have been on and day trips to castle etc. but can't remember which one it was I actually sed. I am also a media studies graduate from many years ago and spent three years using cameras and editing footage, which was great fun but I can honestly say I can't remember most of how I made my 45 minute (video) film. Looking at your little films does bring back some of that spark so I guess I could pick it up quite easily again.

It was good to see the tanks in action so to speak as I have recently read a little book (and I mean short as it was only about 32 pages long) called First World War Tanks by Shire Libraries. Some great photos and interesting facts.
